Anna Fedorova [piano]

Ukrainian born, Anna Fedorova made her debut at Het Concertgebouw at the age of 16. She has performed in many other prestigious concert halls around the world including the Carnegie Hall, Zurich Tonhalle, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Sala Sao Paulo, Teatro Colon, Warsaw Filharmonia, and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. She has also appeared at numerous Music Festivals such as the Verbier Festival, Ravinia Festival, Rubinstein Piano Festival Lodz, and the Aurora Festival. Anna has performed with orchestras including the Dallas Symphony, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic, and the Orquestra Filarmonica de Buenos Aires. Recent and future highlights include the Philharmonia Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Utah Symphony Orchestra, Norrköpings Symfoniorkester, Sinfonieorchester St Gallen, and Szczecin Philharmonic. Anna has claimed top prizes at international competitions, including the International Rubinstein 'In Memoriam' piano competition, the Moscow International Frederick Chopin Competition, the Lyon Piano Competition, and recently the Verbier Festival Academy Award.


About West Cork Chamber Music Festival

 

The West Cork Chamber Music Festival takes place annually in Bantry, County Cork. For ten days, from the last Friday in June, a world-class line-up of international ensembles and soloists perform an extensive programme of concerts which run from morning to late night. The two main venues are the intimate library of the historic Bantry House, which overlooks Bantry Bay; and St Brendan’s Church in the centre of Bantry. The Festival also includes a full schedule of performance workshops and masterclasses with resident student ensembles, composition workshops, public talks with artists as well as exhibitions and demonstrations from instrument makers.
